Cefpodoxime and Clavulanate Potassium Tablets 325 mg

CEFDOCLAV 325 Tablet is a combination medicine that is used to treat respiratory tract infections. It treats the infection and prevents further growth and spread of the microorganisms.



COMPOSITION

Each film coated tablet contains:

Cefpodoxime Proxetil USP

equivalent to Cefpodoxime................... 200 mg

Clavulanate Potassium USP

Equivalent to Clavulanic Acid …………… 125 mg

Excipients………………………………….q.s

Method of administration : Oral

DOSAGE

As directed by the physician.

SIDE EFFECT

• Nausea

• Diarrhea

• Stomach pain

• Headache






PRECAUTION

Diarrhoea

CEFDOCLAV 325 Tablet can cause diarrhoea because it may also kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. Inform your doctor if you experience severe diarrhoea while using this medicine.

 

Antibiotic resistance

The entire course of treatment with CEFDOCLAV 325 Tablet should be completed to avoid antibiotic resistance (microorganisms develop the ability to defeat the antibiotics), even if the condition gets better after taking few doses.
