CLOTRIMAZOLE & CLINDAMYCIN VAGINAL SUPPOSITORIES

Clotrimazole & Clindamycin vaginal suppository is prescribed to treat various types of vaginal infections associated with vaginal discharge. It fights against the infection by stopping the growth of infection-causing microorganisms. It also prevents further spread of the infection.


COMPOSITION

Each vaginal suppository contains:

Clotrimazole BP………….200 mg

Clindamycin Phosphate USP

equivalent to Clindamycin …. 100 mg

Suppository base…………. Q.S.

Method of administration: Vaginal Insert

DOSAGE

This medicine is only for vaginal application.

Clotrimazole & Clindamycin vaginal suppository is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor.

SIDE EFFECT
More common one’s side effects are generally mild and may include:
1) Vulvovaginal burning
2) Vulvovaginal soreness
3) Pelvic pain
4) Erythema
5) Vulvovaginal pruritus
6) Vulvovaginal swelling
7) Pelvic cramps
8) Local irritation




PRECAUTION
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary.


PRESENTATION
3 suppositories of 1.7 gm each are packed in 1 strip of PVC-PE foil, such 1 strip is packed in mono carton along with pack insert. Such 10 mono cartons are further packed in an outer box.
