AMOXICILLIN & CLAVULANATE POTASSIUM FOR ORAL SUSPENSION 457 MG / 228.5 MG

AMOXICILLIN & CLAVULANATE POTASSIUM TABLET 625 MG / 1 G

Amoxicillin & Potassium Clavulanate is indicated for the treatment of the following infections in adults and children: 

• Acute bacterial sinusitis (adequately diagnosed) 

• Acute otitis media 

• Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (adequately diagnosed) 

• Community acquired pneumonia 

• Cystitis 

• Pyelonephritis 

• Skin and soft tissue infections in particular cellulitis, animal bites, severe dental abscess with spreading cellulitis 

• Bone and joint infections, in particular osteomyelitis. Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.

Amoxicillin Trihydrate BP

Potassium Clavulanate BP

Equivalent to Clavulanic Acid …125 mg

Method of administration: Oral as prescribed by physician.

SIDE EFFECT
Less Common
1) Hives or welts
2) Itching
3) Itching of the vagina or genital area
4) Pain during sexual intercourse
5) Redness of the skin
6) Skin rash
7) Thick, white vaginal discharge with no odor or with a mild odor

Rare
1) Bloody or cloudy urine
2) Fever
3) Greatly decreased frequency of urination or amount of urine
4) Seizures
5) Swelling of the feet or lower legs




PRECAUTION

Amoxicillin and clavulanate combination may cause diarrhea, and in some cases it can be severe. It may occur 2 months or more after you stop using this medicine.

Amoxicillin and clavulanate combination may decrease the effects of some oral contraceptives (birth control pills).

This medicine may cause serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, which can be life-threatening and require immediate medical attention.

Amoxicillin & Potassium clavulanate oral suspension is available in 70ml bottle & Amoxicillin & Potassium clavulanate Potassium Tablets are available in Alu-Alu blister pack of 7 tablets.
