FOR INJECTION

Penicillin G Benzathine Injection is used to treat and prevent certain infections caused by bacteria. Penicillin G Benzathine Injection is in a class of antibiotics called penicillins. It works by killing bacteria that cause infections. 


COMPOSITION (Injection)

Each vial contains:
Benzathine Benzylpenicillin BP 2400000 I.U.
Buffering Agent: Sodium Citrate BP
Dispersing Agent: Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose USP

SIDE EFFECT
Pain at the Injection site, nausea, or vomiting may occur.



PRECAUTION
Do not administer to penicillin-allergic patients.
Administer with caution to patients allergic to Cephalosporin (cross-sensitivity may occur) and renal impairment (reduce dosage).



PRESENTATION
Powder for injection in vials of:
1.2 MIU (900 mg), to be dissolved in 4 ml of water for injection, for IM injection
2.4 MIU (1.8 g), to be dissolved in 8 ml of water for injection, for IM injection
