MICONAZOLE & METRONIDAZOLE VAGINAL GEL

Miconazole & Metronidazole Vaginal Gel is indicated for the topical treatment of mixed vaginal infections of bacterial or candidal origin.

COMPOSITION

Each gram contains:
Miconazole Nitrate BP ………. 2% w/w
Metronidazole BP ……………. 1% w/w
Gel Base ………………………. q.s.


DOSAGE

An applicator full of Miconazole & Metronidazole Gel should be introduced into the vaginal daily at bed time for 5 days. The vaginal gel should be applied as deeply as possible into the vagina.

SIDE EFFECT
Occasionally local side effects such as rash, itching and redness may be associated with the use of Miconazole & Metronidazole Gel.





PRECAUTION
Miconazole & Metronidazole Gel should be discontinued if sensitizations or irritation is reported during use. Intractable candidiasis may be the presenting symptom of unrecognized diabetes; thus appropriate urine/blood studies may be indicated in patients not responding to treatment with Miconazole & Metronidazole Gel.
