POWDER FOR ORAL SUSPENSION
ARTEMETHER INJECTION 80 MG


Artemether & Lumefantrine Tablet is used to treat malaria in adults and children. The two ingredients in this medication belong to a class of drugs known as antimalarial.





COMPOSITION (Suspension)

Each 5 ml suspension after reconstitution contains:
Artemether … 20 mg
Lumefantrine … 120 mg
Excipients … Q.s


COMPOSITION (Tablet)

Each film coated tablet contains:
Artemether … 20 mg/ 40 mg/ 80 mg
Lumefantrine … 120 mg/ 240 mg/ 480 mg
Excipients … Q.s


COMPOSITION (Injection)

Each ml contains:

SIDE EFFECT
The most common adverse experiences in patients treated with Artemether/ Lumefantrine combination are abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea, palpitation, headache, dizziness, arthralgia, cough, myalgia, pruritus, rash, asthenia and fatigue.




PRECAUTION
Artemether & Lumefantrine must not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy in situations where other suitable and effective antimalarial are available.
Artemether & Lumefantrine should be used cautiously in patients on ARTs since decreased artemether, DHA, and/or lumefantrine concentrations may result in a decrease of antimalarial efficacy of Artemether & Lumefantrine, like other antimalarial (e.g. halofantrine, quinine and quinidine)
